Facebook founder and the 7th richest man on the planet, Mark Zuckerberg is currently in Nigeria.
Yes, I know – I am just as stunned as you. When did this happen and why didn’t anyone tell me anything?!
This is so sad, but it is the direct opposite for those who are at CcHub right now because that’s where Mark Zuckerberg currently is as at the time of writing this report.
If I were to speculate, the billionaire Facebook founder is currently in Nigeria to visit Jobberman (which he showed support for a few months ago), check out the Andela team (which he invested $24 million in recently), launch ExpressWiFi (the affordable WiFi project we told you about this morning) and participate in the Facebook developer day which is happening tomorrow.
As far as I can tell, Zuckerberg did not inform anyone outside of Facebook about his visit (up until a few hours ago, he was visiting the Pope in Rome with his wife, Priscilla – according to his Facebook page) and will be looking to talk tech development and policy in Nigeria with the government.
